My girls and I made monster cookies after school today. They were so yummy! Thanks mom for the recipe! Mikenna loves to cook and is making things on her own now.
I am the team photographer again~we had a little rain to deal with this time. Considering the weather was a little windy and rainy and no sun - which is kinda good to not have to deal with the sun because the girls have a hard time opening their eyes anyways for pictures. I took team pictures and individual shots - for the team web page and also player cards. Toby is the webmaster for the team web page. That way we can work together more easily. This year there are 16 players on the team instead of 14 players - mainly because instead of 9 players on field - this year there will be 11 players on the field at one time. They will also play on a bigger field. Mikenna is one of the younger ones on the team. But she holds her own. She is one of the quickest on the team.

Yak Attack Tournament in Yakima! Mikenna's team was called Ninja Warriors - and her 3 Rivers Soccer Club coach - coached them this weekend through the tournament. The other half of the team was also there competing and they were called Girls Rock. I was in charge of getting their shirts designed and ordered - I think they turned out really cute. It was a really fun tournament - they play 30 minutes - on a smaller field - and with music. Mikenna's team played 3 games on Saturday and 2 games on Sunday. They ended up going to a shoot out to make it into Semi-Finals. Mikenna was chosen as one of the girls to kick the ball into the goal - which she made - along with two of her other team mates. There was a hay bale in front of the goal and they had to kick it just right into the goal in the open spots - which were pretty tight. They made it to Semi-Finals and lost that game. They came in 3rd out of 10 teams. Mikenna's team ended up being the only team from 3 Rivers to make it to the Semi-Finals in all age groups. It was a great tournament! Lot's of fun. They had laser tag and a huge obstacle coarse and also a big slide and a jousting pit along with lots of food, music, and also a machine that you could kick a soccer ball against to see how fast your kick is. We also stopped at Miner's for dinner - YUM!
