Rasmussen 2010

~ Rasmussen Family ~ 2010

We feel blessed this year as a family; there has been some wonderful things happen this year!
We want to wish each of our friends and family members a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!

TOBY ~ Is our hardworking husband and father. He is the love of my life and I so appreciate his love and support. He is working for OfficeMax and also ADT Security Systems on the side. He has worked hard to accomplish the goal of being debt free; and we achieved that this year!! I am proud of him and all of the hard work he always happily does for our family. We have been able to move into a beautiful home recently, and I feel blessed to be living my life with my best friend.

MANDY ~ I love staying at home and being a mom to my three kids. They bring a lot of joy, hard work, smiles, laughter, tears, you name it; they provide it! I am proud to be their mom! I am finding myself wondering what to do once my youngest is in school full time. I can’t believe that day is around the corner. My baby days are over…..way too soon for me. I think I will always want them to stay my babies!!! I am working on some goals so I know what to do with myself when they are gone during the day. I am looking forward to the change of working outside the home. Hopefully I can find something that will work so I can be home, when they get home. Right now you can find me in my van being a taxi to my kid’s activities, or at the grocery store buying food. Going to their games, meets, helping with homework, paying bills, cleaning house, etc. You can also bet that I have my camera with me trying to capture and hold onto the moments I know I will miss someday! I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love our new home, and have loved decorating and having a big back yard that my kids can play in, and plenty of room for gardening. I also enjoy my nice jetted tub at the end of the day!!

JARON ~ He is our 12 year old 7th grader…hello braces, changing voice, bottomless pit that I can’t keep full enough with food. Goes between still wanting to be a boy to wanting to be a young adult. He has enjoyed being a Deacon and passing the sacrament. Has accomplished a lot of Boy scouts this year to being Star rank. He loves camping, biking, running, drawing, creating on the computer and reading. He rode 50 miles on his bike one day with his troop. He was able to go to the new Vancouver Canada Temple open house also. He helped plan a family camping trip that we all went on as a family to Ensign Ranch that we all really enjoyed. He plays the drums/percussion in Band for Deseret Hills Middle School, and also had an awesome Cross Country season. He has improved his time every meet and finishes in the top 3 to 10 places out of 51 ~ 7th grade boys. He is looking forward to track this spring. Toby and I look at each other and wonder how we got a cross country runner! I remember thinking to myself when he was 2; with the constant running away from me and all of his endurance that he would be an awesome runner someday! He is a lot more competitive this year than last. He has decided to sign-up for some local and out of town 5K, 10K runs this winter and spring. He is still always on the go; loves to be busy, has a big heart and loves life! He loves lasagna and cherry cheesecake, has passed me up in height and I have to start looking up at him now….yikes!!!!! Where does the time go?? We love him and feel blessed that he is our son. We love watching him run in meets, and looking at his artistic drawings, play drums in the concerts, and listening to all the fun facts he always has to tell us along with his big laughs that make us laugh.

MIKENNA ~ She is our 9 year old 4th grader. She loves life to the fullest and always looks for the next activity or thing to accomplish. She loves to be outside with her friends, she loves to make us and her friends laugh. She has a wonderful sense of humor, and thrives on our family time together. She is usually the one doing and saying silly things that make us all laugh. She is competitive and loves any and all sports; especially soccer, basketball and swimming. She was able to participate in soccer camp, volleyball camp and basketball camp this summer; along with swimming lessons. She loved them all. She usually has fun no matter what she is doing, and makes friends fast that way. She is our sunshine! We get compliments from teachers, parents and leaders, that Mikenna is such a sweet girl and she is fun to be around. She is a good student, and loves school and has always wanted to make sure she has a good teacher. She loves to go skateboard with the boys around our neighborhood. She has enjoyed playing soccer through the Tri-Cities Youth Association this spring and fall again. She is so fun to watch. She has decided to try out for the Select team for next fall. She is our speedster; she is so fast and a great little defender as well. She has some great little girlfriends that love sports on her soccer team that she lives close to now, and she is excited to be going to school and playing sports with them. We love her so much and feel so blessed she is our daughter.

BRIELLE ~ She is our 5 year old preschooler. She is sassy and loves to dance and sing. She loves preschool and her teacher. She is self motivated and intense at times because it’s important to her that she does as well as her older sister and brother which is why she asks for homework from her preschool teacher. She enjoys practicing her letters and numbers and can write her name and is learning to write other words. She loves to sing and perform. She is usually the one singing at the top of her voice; and memorizes songs fast. She can be found in her room dancing and singing with her microphone to Hannah Montana songs, which she knows by heart. She loves to put together her own outfits, which usually include hat or flower on her head, purse, rings, necklaces, lip-gloss, and her outfits usually look pretty cute. She is all about the accessories. She is pretty savvy on the computer, loves to play learning games on it. She thinks she is the boss around here - She is the youngest so she definitely wants to be a part of all decisions made and loves to state her opinion. She is a perfectionist and loves the details of things. She is pretty determined and knows what she likes and doesn’t like. She wants to play soccer like her big sister Mikenna. So we are going to put her in the same association Mikenna plays for next spring. She is a good little fast runner too. She loves to run around with her big brother and sister. She loves primary and loves to sing “Follow the Prophet” around the house. She is sassy but also very sweet! We love her so much and feel so blessed she is our daughter.
