I signed my last child up for Kindergarten this fall. I teared up - and had to go collect myself before I took her by the hand to tour the school. I just can't accept the fact that I am at this stage in my life. Letting my last one go off to school - granted it's half day - but every year - I feel I spend less day time with my kids - I am very grateful I was able to be a stay at home mom for 13 years. I am looking for a job - my resume is ready - I've applied to 3 jobs so far. It's a little tricky doing so when you haven't had a job outside of the home. But, I wouldn't have it any other way! I will never regret not being there at home for my kids! I was able to do so - and now I am enjoying the stage of watching my kids going out and finding out who they are, what they like and don't like, seeing them accomplish their goals is also very fulfilling! Being a mom is the best!! I have found a couple jobs that will enable me to be home when they get home from school. I have applied to the
Pasco Airport, Benton County
Sherrif's office, and a
Kennewick Elementary School. I had to go take a typing test for one of them - 76
wmp. Not bad! A little rusty for me though. I used to be able to type 90
wmp - but those were my college days!
Brielle on the other hand is excited! She is very ready to go to Kindergarten! She is already talking about it - this summer may be a long wait for her! :)
