Jaron - at the middle of the race. This is the last cross country meet of the season. The biggest meet of the season - there were 82 - 8th grade boys! He placed 18th out of 82 boys. He also ran his best time of the season - 13:00. He ran 12:53 at Park Middle School - but that is a little shorter course. He ran an awesome race! It was so fun to watch him run this season! He started talking to me about how excited he is to run as a freshman next year for Pasco High School - and run 3 miles instead of 2. We have looked into some triathlons for him to do - we found 2 he can compete in next summer around here. He is excited to keep training for those - and run in some running events this winter and spring as well. He's going to run in the cable bridge run in Kennewick this December with Toby. Toby is starting to stress about it - because he hasn't been running - but now that cross country season is over for Jaron, they can start running together more often! Jaron keeps reminding him to start running - and not to worry that he will help him - so cute! He loves to bike as well - he has gone on a couple 50 mile bike rides. We found some triathlons that are just biking and running. You run, then bike, then run again. He is excited!
Jaron at the end of his race....
We are proud of you buddy for running your heart out this season - and accomplishing your goals! We are so proud of how much hard work you put into running - and we love watching you do something you love to do! We are proud of the leader you have become on your team, and for the example you set for your sisters!
