Brielle caught the cold that has been going around. After dinner one night she was complaining of her ear not working, and soon after she started crying really loud and holding her ear like she was in a lot of pain. Toby and I took her to the Dr. and she examined her ear and said she had ruptured her membrane. She was given ear drops and antibiotics. She started feeling better a few days later; but until the med's kicked in, she was by my side or on the couch watching cartoons, drawing, doing her homework or laying down. Which for her naps are a rare thing-she usually doesn't lay down for naps at all unless she is really sick. We took her to the Dr. two weeks later to get it examined and she said it healed up. Since then, I have caught the cold/flu as well as Jaron - except he was throwing up with his, and Mikenna recently came down with it - but recovered pretty quick. And as usual; Toby didn't get sick at all....lucky!!
