Today is my Grandpa Winder's birthday. I miss him...this time of year brings lots of memories with Fall and Harvest. I miss his well told and executed stories and sayings...I miss his smile, his spunk, his tender heart. I miss his big bear hugs...I miss just having him around and knowing he is there whenever I need him or need a pick-me up. He always knew how to make me smile and brighten my day. I was blessed to have known my grandpa so well. He was a second dad to me. He always showed his love and made sure I knew I was special. I lived close to him and my grandma growing up...just right down the driveway...and for 5 years I lived with him with my parents and siblings. He was such a huge part of my life; he still is... just in different ways. He is always in my heart and I know he is watching over me still...I still feel his love and support. I love you grandpa!!!!
