Jaron had his cross country end of season recognition night. He received an award and certificate and lettered! He has run cross country 3 years in middle school as a 6th, 7th and 8th grader. He has learned a lot from each of his coaches and has a love for cross country running. He is excited to run for Pasco High School next year. I talked to his coach and she told me she loved to watch Jaron run - that he has such a smooth and natural, consistent style that is fun to watch. She said that he is very focused as an 8th grade runner. That he gets into his own zone and world when he practices and runs in his races and stays focused until he is done with the race - and then he is back to the happy, fun kid after his race is over. He's all business when he runs and races! And then after the race he lets loose and is able to have fun and cheer on his team mates! She also told me that he is a great kid, and is fun to be around and appreciated the leader he was on the team and how he worked hard every practice. I know these things about Jaron because I am his mom - but it's nice to hear his friends and coaches say them as well! It does a parent good! :)
I think I am going to get a shadow box and put the award and letter in it for him - and give it to him for Christmas!
