Mikenna sang in her last Kids on Stage Choir Concert tonight. They sang 3 different songs. They did a great job! She has really enjoyed choir this year and has decided to take choir in 6th grade as one of her classes.
Mikenna with some good friends from school and soccer!
Mikenna and one of her good friends from her 5th grade class!
Mikenna and Morgan....always laughing together!
Mikenna - playing percussion for one of the songs.
Mikenna and her good friend - on top of the Mustang - the elementary school mascot. It's on to 6th grade this fall!
Brielle....on to 1st grade this fall! Can't believe how big she has gotten this past year!
I measured my kids the other day....and I was kinda shocked at how much they have grown in just 5 months. Jaron is 5'11, Mikenna is 4'11 and a half, Brielle is 4'1 and a half. I can't keep them in clothes!
I just went through their dressers and closets.....and got rid of a garbage bag full of clothes and shoes for each of them that don't fit them anymore. I did this is November of 2011. Time to hit some garage sales for my growing kids!
Brielle had her first practice on a big stage for her dance recital coming up in a couple weeks. It's going to be held on a nice big stage in an auditorium. She will have a dress rehearsal soon! She absolutely loved dancing on a big stage! She was all smiles! Her jazz dance number is called "Life is a Happy Song."
Tonight was Jaron's last band concert - he has decided not to continue band into high school. He wants to concentrate on seminary and also cross country and take some art and graphic design classes in high school. My favorite song he played was the theme song from the Disney movie "The Incredibles" Very cool! He has completed 5 years of band!
Jaron received his Life Rank tonight along with his Camping merit badge. He planned the Court of Honor himself - to pass off some requirements for the next required badge he is working on which is Communications. He did a great job organizing it and conducting it. I pitched in to help by playing the opening and closing hymn. His friend Jacob led the music.
Jaron's leader telling him he can start working on his Eagle this summer - Jaron is excited. Any suggestions as to what his project can be - let us know if you have any ideas! Jaron has 4 more required merit badges and then his Eagle Project! He should be able to get that done this summer before he starts his Freshman year of High School.
